04.02.2019 - Spotify "Rap Caviar" event at The Brooklyn Museum

On April 2nd Moore PA Hire provided all equipment and services necessary to create 4 dynamic projections around the Beaux Arts Court at The Brooklyn Museum for the Spotify "Rap Caviar" event.

Our primary server system began with (1) Watchout Media Server designed around Dataton Watchout 6, with 4 outputs. from there we ran all the outputs through (4) Decimator MD-HX and into our premier video rack, the LSE 1. The LSE 1 is engineered around (1) Blackmagic Design Atem 2 M/E, (2) Hyperdeck Studio Pro 4K, (2) Smartscope Duo 4K, and can handle any combination of switching and serving across 20 inputs and 6 distinct outputs. The projectors were paired with (4) Panasonic ET-D75LE6 lenses and projected onto custom fabricated screens to mirror the archways of The Beaux Arts Court.

For safety and to ensure a flawless show we also provided a backup media server system. This system consisted of (4) Macbook Pro 15" running QLab 4 Pro. The (4) machines were networked together through (1) Netgear GS108-400NAS and sent into the LSE 1 via (4) Decimator MD-HX. They ran in the background all night, though thankfully our backup system was never needed.

We also provided staging for the event, consiting of (6) 6'x4' sections of staging with (24) 2' stage legs, (1) stairs kit, and all the black duvatene required to complete a elegant look.

Kindy take a look at our photos from the event below:

In addition to the main event above, Moore PA Hire provided video equipment and services for the week long Rap Caviar exhibition produced by Spotify on the second floor mezzanine of The Brooklyn Museum. The concept was to screen high quality video content provided by the client on a loop for the full week. The screens would be installed inside the custom built scenic structures and the content needed to be synced up across the 4 displays but couldn't be fed by a single control location.

To achieve this we provided (4) Samsung 82" NU8000 4K HDR screens and (4) Mac Minis to serve the content. Each Mac Mini was running a Pro version of QLab 4 Video displaying on the screens. The four computers were networked together via (1) Netgear GS108-400nas and discreet lengths of Ethernet cable running around the perimeter of the mezzanine. The computers spent the week running the content on a loop, actively checking in with each other, and re-syncing themselves if ever necessary with no on-site tech needed.
