Moore PA Hire came back to the New York Athletic Club to provide AV services for an internal awards ceremony, the Al Oerter award, the first event of it's kind that we helped the club setup[ and execute. The main attraction was a 9.5M x 3M Gloshine LED wall along the North wall of the 9th floor lounge, mainly acting as background for our (2) Sony FR-7 PTZ Cameras hung in the doorway opposite side of the room. We also displayed client provided videos on the wall with basic layer switching on our Novastar MX40 rack. This ran data to the wall via (2) fiber runs to CVT-10 boxes, allowing for all the cable runs to be hidden. Content was provided via (3) Lenovo ThinkPad Laptops, one of which supporting Resolume Arena, a dynamic programs allowing our team to adjust layers and content onsite. The other two were dedicated to video playback. Additionally we inluded (2) 70" LCD displays in the cardroom for overflow viewing.
Pertaining to audio, we set up (8) X8 speakers, 6 in the lounge and 2 in the cardroom for even and clear distribution of audio, each powered by a LA-4X amp rack. For mix control we used (1) Yamaha DM7 mixer, also taking (8) channels of wireless audio via (2) Shure ULXD4Q rack-mount wireless units.
For lighting we used (2) Aputure 300x lights for a stage wash, (4) Quasar T8 Tube lights for drape uplight, and (2) S4 minis mounted on the wall for hair light; we also set up a total of (16) MPROW LED Up-lights around the 9th floor.
