02.23.2020 - Sikhs for Justice

On February 23rd Moore PA Hire provided audio, lighting, video and live streaming equipment and services for the Sikhs for Justice Punjab Referendum 2020 New York Conference.

For audio, we provided (1) Yamaha QL-1 and (1) Yamaha Rio 1608D to drive the show. For microphones we provided (2) Shure MX 418, (2) SM 57, and (2) Senheiser MKH-416 for room tone on the live stream, all with mic stands. For speakers we provided (6) L'Acoustics 112P and (4) L'Acoustics 108P for front fill and monitors.

For lighting we provided (2) ETC Lustr S2 each outfitted with EDLT 26 degree lenses and rigged up on (2) Impact Turtle Base C-Strands. We also added in (2) Ikan LED Panels for hair light.

For video and live streaming we rolled our full broadcast package. The system starts with out premier live streaming and recording rack, what we call the LSE 1. Engineered with (1) Blackmagic Design Atem 2 M/E, (2) Blackmagic Design Hyperdeck Studio Pro 4K, and (2) Blackmagic Design Smartscope Duo 4K. Included in the rack is also (1) Clearcom dual-channel base station and (1) APC UPS capable of powering the whole system for up to an hour.
The LSE 1 was paired with (1) Production Bot Switch 8 to stream the program to 3 destinations simultaneously and also record the show as an H.264 MP4 direct to our archival 4TB LaCie Drive. We also recorded the program on Pro Res 422 on our Blackmagic Design Hyperdeck Studio Pro 4K for redundancy.
Our control area was completed with (1) Ikan 19.5" studio monitor, (1) Blackmagic Design Atem Advanced Panel, and (1) Macbook Pro 13" to smoothly mix the show ahead of broadcast.
For cameras we provided (3) Panasonic HE-130, all controlled by (1) Panasonic RP-120
Finally, to display the program for the large audience in the room we provided (2) 80" Sharp LC-80LE661U and (2) 70" LG UJ634 plasma screens.

To finish off the whole event we provided (2) sections of 12' x 13' black velour drape, (5) 9'-16' telescopic drape uprights, (3) 7'-12' drape crossbars for stage backdrop and to display the client provided signage on the live stream.

02.13.2020 - Consulate General of Ireland

On February 13th, 2020 Moore PA Hire provided video playback and audio reinforcement equipment and services for a Limerick City & County re-branding event hosted by the Consulate General of Ireland.


For audio, we provided a Yamaha QL-1 and our Shure UR4-D wireless rack with (4) Shure UR1 beltpacks and DPA 4088 head-worn mics combined with (4) L'Acoustic 108P.

For video playback, we provide a Macbook Pro to serve the clients' Powerpoint with video content embedded to two of our 82" 4 K displays.

02.07.2020 - Columbia Business School at The New York Athletic Club

On February 7th Moore PA Hire rolled into the dock at the New York Athletic Club to provide audio and video equipment and services across 3 floors for Columbia Business School. Let's dive in!

The 9th floor Lounge and Card Room
Here we provided audio and video for the client's keynote space. For audio we began with (1) Yamaha QL-5 and (1) Yamaha Rio 1608D. For speakers we provided (4) L'Acoustics 112p, our production in the Card Room adjacent our production consisted of an additional (3) L'Acoustics 112p. For microphones we provided (6) Shure MX418C, along with (3) Shure UR-2 handheld mics paired with Shure UR4-D decks.
For video we provided (2) 80" Sharp Aquos displays and (2) 82" Samsung NU8000 displays, all on rigid Premier Mounts stands. To feed them we set up (1) Production Bot Switch 8 with a Perfect Cue and the client's PowerPoint slides read to go. We set-up (1) DSAN Limitimer Pro Kit 2000 to keep the day on schedule and we were ready to head to our next floor.

The 10th floor Breakout Rooms
Here we provided production in 3 seperate breakout rooms all running concurrently. In all rooms we provided (3-4) L'Acoustics 112p for speakers. For microphones we provided (6) Shure MX418C in each room, and to mix we provided a combination of (2) Mackie DL1608 and (1) Mackie DL16S.
With these rooms ready to roll we could head up to our final space.

The 11th floor Dining Room
Here we provided audio, video, and camera services. For camera we started with (1) Panasonic RP-50 and (2) Panasonic HE-130 Cameras on Impact Turtle Base C-Stands. The cameras were fed into (1) Roland VR50HD, in addition to (1) Macbook Pro 15" to serve the client's content for the lunchtime keynote.
For video displays we with (2) 70" LG display flanking the stage and displaying the PowerPoint content for program. Then we added in (2) 65" LG display in the overflow of the dining room which displayed the switched IMAG cut from the cameras for easy viewing.
For audio we rolled in (1) Yamaha QL-1 and (6) Shure MX418C - bringing our total for the event to 30 microphones along with wireless mics across all spaces. We added in (2) Shure UR-2 handheld mics for Q&A and (6) L'Acoustics 108P for speakers.

With all that done and poised for the attendees, we were ready for a full day of programming across multiple spaces.

02.07.2020 - Memorial Event at Xavier High School (Friends of Sean Lugano)

On February 8th Moore PA Hire provided lighting, audio, and video equipment and services for the Friends of Sean Lugano event at Xavier high School, Larkin Hall, NY, NY.

For lighting, we provided (8) Rogue R2, (4) GLP X4S, (10) ETC Lustr S2, and (8) LED Strips. For mounting we provided (2) pieces of 12"x12"x10' brushed aluminum truss, (4) Turtle Base C-Stands, and (10) 25 lb sandbags. We provided all necessary cabling for both power and data and then for control we provided (1) MA Command Wing and (1) MA Fader Wing, along with MA on PC on (1) Intel NUC.

For audio we provided the Yamaha QL-1. For speakers we provided (1) DV Amp Rack - comprised of (3) L'Acoustics LA-8, (6) DV Dosc, (2) DV Sub, along with all the NL4 cable necessary. For monitors for the 5 piece band we provided (6) L'Acoustics 108p. For microphones and DIs we provided (2) DI, (3) Shure SM58, (2) Shure SM57, along with (8) mic stands.

For video we provided (1) Roland VR 50 HD, (1) Moore PA Hire Macbook Pro 15", and (1) Optomoa ZU850 8K Laser with the Optoma A01 short-throw lens. For display we provided (1) AV Stumpfl 6'x10' rear projection screen.

02.01.2020 - Sesame Workshop Celebration of Life for Caroll Spinney

On February 1st 2020 Moore PA Hire provided sound, video, camera, and streaming equipment and services for the Sesame Workshop  at The Church of St Paul the Apostle.

For Video and Camera, we provided our premiere camera switching and recording rack. Engineered with (1) Blackmagic Design 2 M/E video switcher, (2) Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio Pro 2, (2) Blackmagic Design Smartcope Duo 4K, and (1) Cisco RV130 VPN Router for control. The show was mixed using our Atem Advanced Panel and Moore PA Hire MacBook Pro 15". For ISO recordings of all cameras we provided (4) Hyperdeck Studio Pro 4K. For serving the client provided video and audio content, as well as the Moore PA Hire built graphics and lower thirds, we provided the Production Bot Switch 8.  The Production Bot pulled double-duty on this gig as it was also our encoder/streamer to broadcast the event to a private YouTube link provided by Moore PA Hire.The whole celebration was captured by (4) Panasonice HE-130, controlled by (1) Panasonic RP-120 and (1) Panasonic RP-50. The camera feeds were switched and recorded at our recording rack and then sent out for display on (2) 82" Samsung NU8000 screens, (2) LG 65" screens, and two LED walls flown from (2) Genie ST-20s high above the low altar of the Church of St Paul the Apostle. Each screen was made up of twelve LED panels and fed using (2) Novastar VX4S. Our final video destination was Big Bird's personal program monitor which was bound to a Teradek Bolt 500.

For audio, we provided the Yamaha QL5 combined with Yamaha RIO1608D. For FOH we provided all L'Acoustic (12) dV Dosc with (2) dV SUB powered and processed using our Dv amp rack with L'Acoustics LA-8 amplified controllers. This line array system was flown on (2) Genie ST-25. For monitoring, we provided (3) L'Acoustics 112P. For microphones, we provided (2) Senheiser MKH-416 for ambient audio, as well as (4) channels of Shure UR4-D paired with a combination of Shure UR-2 handheld mics and Shure UR-1 beltpacks with DPA 4088 headworn mics.


With the upstairs coming together, the team headed to the basement auditorium of the church to set up for the reception and after party.

For lighting downstairs, we provided (6) ETC Lustr Series 2 and (8) ETC Source 4WRDs. These were use to add some color to the room as well as throw break-up patterns across the ceiling. To up-light the walls we layed out (36) Colorblast TRX. Finally for audio we provided (1) Mackie DL16S and (6) L'Acoustics 112P.
