09.09.25 - Marriott Downtown - Voices Symposium

The Moore PA Hire team went to the downtown New York Marriott for the Voices Symposium 2025, where we provided our full AV and capture package for the annual event hosted by VOICES Center for Resilience, let's dive in!

Starting with audio, in the ballroom we used (8) X8 speakers set around the room for a clear balanced sound, and powered them with (1) L'Acoustics LA-4X - 4 ch. 4 zone amp, housed in the LA-4 Rack. which also has (1) Yamaha RIO 1608 D, and (2) Shure ULXD4Q - Quad wireless receivers for handheld mics. In regards to the presenters, we used (6) Shure MX418C -18" Cardioid Gooseneck Microphones, divided between the podium and fireside chats. In the adjacent ballroom we setup (4) CP8 speakers, (1) Podium Mic,(2) handheld mics, and (1) Mackie DL16S Mixer, providing PA for the breakout part of the symposium.

Moving on to video, the feature attraction was a 9.5M x 2.5M Gloshine LED Wall, set behind the stage, covering the entire back wall of the venue. For processing we used (1) Novastar MX-40 Pro, and (1) CTV10-S Fiber Converter. In addition we also setup (1) Confidence monitor mirroring the main display for the presenters. In regards to content we setup our Origin Server alongside (3) Dell Latitude laptops, and (1) Roland VR-120 Video Switcher. This particular event required layering muliple presentations and assets together on one screen so the combination of the VR-120 and Origin server running Resolume Arena was essential to accomplishing that.

In addition to the in-room display we also provided a recording/livestream for the client, using (3) Sony FR-7 Cameras around the room, all sending signal to LSE-2, our all-in-one solution for camera/line cut control. We used vMix Pro to gather assets and feeds, compiling it all into a single recording that can easily be saved and transported to the client. To ensure we had the best quality recording we also set-up (2) Aputure 300x spotlights for stage wash. Check out some photos from the symposium below!

06.22.25 - High School Graduation - Cold Spring Harbor

The whole Moore PA crew had to get together for this one, as the team drove up to Cold Spring Harbor, NY to provide audio, video, and recording services for the graduating class of 2025. We brought all the bell and whistles for this one, as this event had many different moving parts.

As there were many different performances in different parts of the gym, we used a more in depth setup than usual. To provide for the band we set up (12) MX418C Cardioid Gooseneck mics, running them all to a dedicated Yamaha RIO 1608 stage box, we also used (2) more of the same mic for the commencement speakers onstage. The event also featured solo performance showcases which we used (2) Shure ULXD2 - Handheld mics, allowing for the student performers to freely walk around the space. For PA we used (3) L'Acoustics dV DOSC and (8) X8 speakers as the mains, L'Acoustics 108P for side fills and monitors, and (2) 112P speakers for delays so the crowd in the back could hear. The passive speakers were all powered by (2) L'Acoustic LA-4X amps, all controlled and mixed with (1) Yamaha QL-5.

For the video side the main attraction was (2) VMX 2.6 LED Walls flanking the stage on Genie St 20 crank up stands, content was fed to (2) VX1000 processors with home run SDI runs. These displayed imag through the commencement, all captured by (5) Sony FR-7 PTZ cameras set at different angles, two of which we put on top of truss in the back of the room for a wide shot. To control all the cameras and create a seamless recording we setup (1) LSE-2 unit for PTZ control, and for the stream/recording. For video switching on the LED walls and to receive camera feeds we used (1) Roland VR-120, allowing operators to focus on one task and communicate with the team via comm headsets.

06.04.2025 - NYAC President's Lounge - INREV

The Moore PA Team loaded gear into the presidents room at the New York Athletic Club for INREV's annual North American conference, an all day event featuring a mix of lectures and fireside chats, we provided audio and visual needs for the client, featuring a 5x10 panel LED wall and high end speaker package.

To cover the event's audio we used (4) L'Acoustic X8 speakers, each powered by our custom built LA-4 Rack, a unit hosting the LA amp, a four channel ULXD4Q wireless transmitter, a network switch, and a Yamaha RIO 1608 stage box. For this particular event we used an extra ULXD4Q Transmitter for more wireless channels. Normally we use a Shure ULXD2 handheld mic, but instead provided (8) DPA Headworn mics for minimal presence on the speakers. These were routed into (1) Yamaha QL-1 mixer and then to the room.

For video we brought our VMX P2.6 LED Wall as the central point of the room, feeding content via (1) Roland VR-120. The content was sent to the video mixer by (3) Dell Latitude laptops; to fit the client's needs for this conference we ended up using the picture in picture feature on the VR-120, allowing a static background and power points at a custom point on the wall. To cover the rest of the room we setup (1) 70" LCD Display for the back of the room, and (1) 43" confidence monitor facing the stage. Lastly we used a Perfect Cue Mini for the speakers to change slides from the stage, and (1) Limit Timer to keep the conversations on schedule.

Check out some photos below from the event!
