3.4 - 5.2020 HYDRA / CRE Financial Council at The New York Athletic Club

On March 4th and 5th Moore PA Hire provided audio, video, lighting, and multi-cam recording equipment and services for the CREFC conference at the New York Athletic Club.

For audio, we drove the show with the Yamaha QL-1 paired with the Yamaha Rio 1608. For microphones we provided (9) Shure MX418 podium mics, (2) Shure UR2 handheld microphones, and (2) Shure UR1 beltpacks with Shure MX185 lavalier microphones. For speakers we provided all L'Acoustics (8) 112P and (2) 108P.

For video we provided (2) LED Walls fed by (2) Novastar VX4S. We also provided (2) 82" Plasma Screens and (1) 70" plasma screen. To serve the content we provided (2) Macbook Pro 15" and our premier video rack featuring (1) Blackmagic Design Atem 2 M/E. We also provided all the converters and cabling necessary to build a discreet control centre at the back of house.

For multi-cam recording we employed our largest and most capable multi-cam rack featuring the Atem 2 M/E as well as (5) Blackmagic Design Hyperdeck Studio Pro and (2) Blackmagic Design Smartcope Duo 4K. Also built into the rack is a UPS and Clearcom base station to distribute comm. to all necessary parties with (7) Clearcomm CC-300 headsets w/Clearcom 703 beltpacks. For IMAG and recording, we provided (4) Panasonic HE-130s controlled by our Panasonic RP-120 and Panasonic RP-50. We recorded all four ISOs as well as a director-s cut. To cut the whole show together we provided Atem 2 M/E advanced panel and Ikan AX20 studio monitor.

For lighting we provided (2) ETC Lustr Series 2 with EDLT lenses and (2) Impact Turtle Base C-Stands.

To keep the show running smoothly we provided (1) DSAN Perfect Cue Mini and (1) DSAN Limitimer Pro-2000.

02.01.2020 - Sesame Workshop Celebration of Life for Caroll Spinney

On February 1st 2020 Moore PA Hire provided sound, video, camera, and streaming equipment and services for the Sesame Workshop  at The Church of St Paul the Apostle.

For Video and Camera, we provided our premiere camera switching and recording rack. Engineered with (1) Blackmagic Design 2 M/E video switcher, (2) Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio Pro 2, (2) Blackmagic Design Smartcope Duo 4K, and (1) Cisco RV130 VPN Router for control. The show was mixed using our Atem Advanced Panel and Moore PA Hire MacBook Pro 15". For ISO recordings of all cameras we provided (4) Hyperdeck Studio Pro 4K. For serving the client provided video and audio content, as well as the Moore PA Hire built graphics and lower thirds, we provided the Production Bot Switch 8.  The Production Bot pulled double-duty on this gig as it was also our encoder/streamer to broadcast the event to a private YouTube link provided by Moore PA Hire.The whole celebration was captured by (4) Panasonice HE-130, controlled by (1) Panasonic RP-120 and (1) Panasonic RP-50. The camera feeds were switched and recorded at our recording rack and then sent out for display on (2) 82" Samsung NU8000 screens, (2) LG 65" screens, and two LED walls flown from (2) Genie ST-20s high above the low altar of the Church of St Paul the Apostle. Each screen was made up of twelve LED panels and fed using (2) Novastar VX4S. Our final video destination was Big Bird's personal program monitor which was bound to a Teradek Bolt 500.

For audio, we provided the Yamaha QL5 combined with Yamaha RIO1608D. For FOH we provided all L'Acoustic (12) dV Dosc with (2) dV SUB powered and processed using our Dv amp rack with L'Acoustics LA-8 amplified controllers. This line array system was flown on (2) Genie ST-25. For monitoring, we provided (3) L'Acoustics 112P. For microphones, we provided (2) Senheiser MKH-416 for ambient audio, as well as (4) channels of Shure UR4-D paired with a combination of Shure UR-2 handheld mics and Shure UR-1 beltpacks with DPA 4088 headworn mics.


With the upstairs coming together, the team headed to the basement auditorium of the church to set up for the reception and after party.

For lighting downstairs, we provided (6) ETC Lustr Series 2 and (8) ETC Source 4WRDs. These were use to add some color to the room as well as throw break-up patterns across the ceiling. To up-light the walls we layed out (36) Colorblast TRX. Finally for audio we provided (1) Mackie DL16S and (6) L'Acoustics 112P.

12.20.2019 - The Collegiate School Christmas Concert 2019

On December 20th Moore PA Hire provided staging, sound, video and camera equipment and services for the Collegiate Christmas Concert at The Church of St Paul the Apostle.

For Video and Camera, we provided our premier camera switching and recording rack. Engineered with (1) Blackmagic Design 2 M/E video switcher, (2) Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio Pro 2, (2) Blackmagic Design Smartcope Duo 4K, and (1) Cisco RV130 VPN Router for control. The show was mixed using our Atem Advanced Panel and Moore PA Hire MacBook Pro 15". For serving the client provided powerpoint, as well as the Moore PA Hire built graphics and lower thirds, we provided the Production Bot Switch 8. The whole concert was captured by (4) Panasonice HE-130, controlled by (1) Panasonic RP-120 and (1) Panasonic RP-50. The camera feeds were switched and recorded at our recording rack and then sent out for display on (2) 82" Samsung NU8000 screens along with two LED walls flown from (2) Genie ST-20s high above the orchestra and choir. Each screen was made up of twelve LED panels and fed using (2) Novastar VX4S.

We also provided 6'x4' pieces of stage with 6" legs for coral risers.

11.06.19 - Anne Klein @ Terazzo Terrace

On November 6th Moore PA Hire rolled into the Terazzo Terrace with audio, video, and staging equipment ready to build and run an event for Anne Klein as they launched new products, "Steve Jobs style." Let's go!

For audio, we began with (1) Yamaha QL-1 and (3) Shure UR-4D paired with two handheld microphones and three DPA 4088 head-worn microphones. Finally for mics we provided (1) Shure MX418 podium microphone for the presentations.

For video, we ran everything through (1) Atem 2 M/E video switcher. We provided (3) Macbook Pros to serve the various client-provided powerpoints and videos. To keep everything running smoothly and in tandem we provided (1) Perfect Cue Mini. For displays, we provided (2) 82" Samsung NU8000 display and (1) 80" Sharp Aquos display, along with (1) Ikan MS21 21.5" screen to serve as a confidence monitors for the presenters. To round out the video department we laid out all power and data cabling necessary.

For staging, we provided (2) 6ft x 4ft decks of staging on 12" legs. We rolled in duvatene to skirt the stage, as well 26ft for 12ft black velour drape for the stage backdrop. To keep everything running like clockwork we set-up (1) DSAN Limitimer Pro-2000-Kit.

10.20.2019 - ESport - East Coast Throwdown

Over the weekend of October 21st Moore PA Hire provided all audio, lighting, power distribution, and video equipment and services for the annual East Coast Throwdown ESports event in Stamford, Connecticut. Let's get cracking!

The main stages:
For audio we began with (1) Yamaha QL-1 and (1) Yamaha Rio 1608D. We took in gameplay audio and commentary from the three broadcast teams present at the event, along with rigging up (3) Shure UR-2 handheld microphones, paired with our Shure UR4D receiver rack. We also set-up (2) Senheiser MKH 416 shotgum microphones to pick up the audience in the room, sending the cheering back to the broadcast teams as well as pushing them through the PA to increase the ambiance of gameplay in the venue. For speakers, we rigged up two tower, each with (3) L'Acoustics DV Dosc. and (1) L'Acoustics DV Sub. For front fill we provided (5) L'Acoustics 108P across the three main stages. To feed the DV towers and Subs we provided (2) L'Acoustics LA-8, along with all the NL4 cabling needed. The towers were built on (2) Genie ST20 Supertowers. With that flying we could move onto video world.

We began with the dynamic duo of (1) Production Bot Switch 8 and our Black Magic Design video rack, the LSE 1. The LSE 1 consists of (1) Atem 2 M/E, (2) UltraScope Duo 4K, (2) Hyper Deck Studio Pro 4K, (1) Macbook Pro 13" for control, and a UPS capable of running our full system for up to 45 minutes without power.
The set-up was feeding (2) Optoma ZU850 8K Laser Projectors - with Optoma A13 long-throw lenses - and (1) 4 metre by 3 metre LED Wall. The projectors were each shooting onto a 7ft x 11ft AV Stumpfl Monoblox Screen with full dress kits. The wall was controlled by (1) Novastar VX4S and hung from truss flying from (2) Mobiltech ALP-5 crank up stands. The LED Wall was secured to the truss using (4) 100cm rigbars and (8) Mega-Video Wall Hangers. What content was sent where morphed throughout the event. For inputs we took a program feed from all three of the broadcast teams, as well as our (3) Panasnic HE-130 PTZ Cameras and the Production Bot Switch 8. The LSE 1 directed and fed all 3 screens, as well as handled distributing all three PTZ camera feeds to the broadcast teams for use in their livestreams. We rigged up (1) Ikan 19.5" monitor for multi-view along with (1) Panasonic RP-120 Controller to control the PTZs over the weekend. We also rigged up (1) Panasonic RP50 controller that floated between the broadcast teams throughout the event so they had full control when they needed it. With (4) Decimator MD-HX connected alongside 26 seperate runs of SDI cables to span the full back of house area, we were ready to switch everything on.

For lighting we started with Grand MA on PC, paired with (1) MA Cmnd Wing and (1) HP Elite Display E230T. In line was (1) 4-way active DMX distributor to pull all the fixtures together. Speaking of fixtures, we hung (4) GLP X4S, (10) ETC Lustr Series 2  w/ EDLT lenses, and (8) Chauvet Rogue R2. These were hung from a combination of the Genie ST20 Super-Towers and (4) sticks of 10 foot truss with base plates and plenty of sandbags. We also provided (12) Colorblast TRX and (12) RGBA LED Strips.

To finish of the main stage area we set up (6) 12 foot sections of black velour to provide a clean and consistent backdrop.

Secondary stages:
For the stage at the back of the main room, we provided (2) 70" 4k HDR display, on Premier Mounts Stands. For audio we provided (1) Mackie DL1608D and (2) L'Acoustics 112P.

For the adjoining room, we provided (2) Samsung 82" 4K HDR Smart TVs, also on Premier Mounts. For audio we set up (1) Mackie DL1608D and (2) L'Acoustics 112P on tripods, along with (2) L'Acoustics SB15P.

Finally downstairs, provided (2) 80" Sharp Aquos TVs along with (1) 500' spool of fiber optic cable to provide hardline internet to the corresponding broadcast team going live from the arcade.
