06.11.25 Yale Ballroom - BCIU

Moore PA loaded into the Yale Club Ballroom for a Gala/Awards Ceremony presented by the Business Council for International Understanding; we provided audio, video, and recording services.

Starting with audio, we ran everything though our in-house audio system, an all L'Acoustics bundle of (4) White X8 speakers and an L'Acoustics LA-8 amplifier. As this event only required two podium speakers, we just ran lines to (2) MX418C Cardioid Gooseneck mics, and setup (4) ULXD2 Handheld mics for potential announcements/Q&A. These wireless mics were connected to a ULXD4Q - Quad Wireless Receiver (also a part of the in house system) and then sent to (1) Yamaha DM-3 mixing console for volume control.

To fit the video needs, we brought in (1) Panasonic PT-MZ880 projector, a 6' x 10'8" projection screen kit, (1) 43' confidence monitor for teleprompter text, and (4) 75' LCD Displays to cover the rest of the room. Content was fed to the projector and LCD display via (1) Dell Latitude laptop, and (1) Roland VR-120 Video Switcher. Lastly, to get a visually striking recording we setup (2) Aputure Spotlights on 6' C Stands, and Pewter Draper set behind the stage; to record we used (2) Birddog P4K PTZ Cameras, which were controlled by and saved into the LSE-1 rack.

For video we brought our VMX P2.6 LED Wall as the central point of the room, feeding content via (1) Roland VR-120. The content was sent to the video mixer by (3) Dell Latitude laptops; to fit the client's needs for this conference we ended up using the picture in picture feature on the VR-120, allowing a static background and power points at a custom point on the wall. To cover the rest of the room we setup (1) 70" LCD Display for the back of the room, and (1) 43" confidence monitor facing the stage. Lastly we used a Perfect Cue Mini for the speakers to change slides from the stage, and (1) Limit Timer to keep the conversations on schedule.

The Moore PA Team loaded a truckload of gear into the New York Athletic Club for the annual Managed Funds Association Legal & Compliance conference. We pulled out all the stops for this one as the main Lounge features (3) LED walls, full camera setup, and speaker systems setup up on the 9th, 10th, and 11th floors.

Part of the conference included breakout session with only audio, we needed (5) separate rooms covered so for mix control we used a combination of (1) Yamaha QL-1, (2) Yamaha DM-3s, and (2) Mackie Dl-16s, these all took input from (4) 15" Cardioid Gooseneck Mics (per room) and sent it to L'Acoustic 112s, and CP-8 loudspeakers. For the 11th floor dining room we used (1) Yamaha DM-3 and an all L'Acoustics bundle; (1) LA4 rack, an all encompassing unit to provide amp channels and wireless capabilities that can work for just about every event we do, and (4) L'Acoustics X8 speakers. Lastly for the main lounge on the 9th floor the team setup the Yamaha QL-5 mixer and patched it into another LA-4 rack, thus powering (8) X8 speakers in the lounge and adjacent card room. For signal input we setup (1) Shure ULXD4Q-G50 for extra channels of wireless, (1) Shure MX418C 18" Cardioid Gooseneck mic for podium speakers, and (8) Shure ULXD1 Beltpacks with WL185 Lav mics.

For video needs on the 9th floor, our LSE-1 production rack, based around vMix Pro was used for multi-cam production. We provided (3) Sony FR7 PTZ Cameras to capture the event and the line cut from our video director was captured externally using the ATOMOS Sumo monitor. Content was fed to the screens using a Roland VR-120, providing background decals and imag for the presenters. We used (2) 70" LED displays in the card room, (2) VMX LED walls flanking the stage and (1) High Refresh Rate Gloshine LED wall set behind the stage. On the 11th floor the setup was more basic as we just provided imag of the speakers to the back of the room via an FX-6 camera and another VR-120 feeding (2) 70" LED displays.

To set the stage we used drape hung from our Genie ST-20 towers as well as on pipe/base. We lit the stage using (2) Source 4 Minis for hair light, (2) ETC Lustrs for a basic wash, and (1) Aputure Spotlight to give us the optimal lighting for the recording.

The Moore PA team loaded into the Yale Club Ballroom for a Sunday brunch presented by Higher Heights; for their event we provided services for audio, video, and a stream/recording. We setup to present a fireside chat with podium introductions.

Covering our bases with audio we patched into our in-house audio system, an all L'Acoustics bundle of (4) X8 speakers and a LA-8 amplifier. To capture the conversation we used (2) Shure ULXD1 Belt-pack w/ WL185 Lavalier mics and a Shure MX418C gooseneck mic for the podium. This was all controlled with a Yamaha DM-3 mixer, which also feeds the audio for the recording.

For video we setup our VMX LED Wall, using a Genie ST 20 crank up stand, and four meters of truss. We provided content to our LED wall from (1) Roland VR120, with Dell Latitude laptops running vMix Pro. (1) Novastar VX1000 LED Display Controller was used to feed the LED wall. Lastly we set up a 43" confidence monitor onstage, allowing presenters to see speaker notes, and a limit timer to keep the event on schedule.

To ensure the highest level of recording possible, we wheeled in out LSE-1 rack, an all in one unit that allows us to record multiple camera feeds and switch between them, thus creating a seamless line cut video as the event happens. To capture the brunch we set up (3) Birddog P4K cameras and took an audio line from the DM-3, giving us a dynamic and clear recording of the conversation.

Content was sent to the TVs via (2) Asus Zenbook laptops running Vmix Pro, feeding a Roland VR-120 video switcher for seamless transition. To create a recording we set up our LSE-2 rack in the balcony, which captured three separate video feeds from the cameras, as well as an audio line, giving us a clear line cut recording from the evening.

For the lighting we setup (2) Aputure Spotlights in the back of the ballroom, illuminating the presenters with a basic stage wash, this is crucial when doing a recording as they help us achieve a higher quality product.
