9.19.24 HSS at the New York Athletic Club

We were back in the New York Athletic Club today for the Hospital for Special Surgery Board of Trustees meeting.

We had a unique set up today where the attendees were seated at a long U-shaped table, as pictured below and then one speaker stood at a podium in the center. Six additional speakers were sat up onstage as well. For this, we provided a total of twenty-four Shure MX418C Podium Mics around the room. These were then all fed into the Yamaha RIO #1, in the center of the tables via three 50’ 12 Channel Snakes. The Yamaha QL5 mixing board was used, along with the L’Acoustics LA-8 amp. Four L’Acoustics X8 speakers were placed around the room.

We had three Birddog P4K PTZ Cameras set up to show off the panel, which were fed into the LSE-1 production rack. The LSE-1 was used for recording and streaming of the event, using vMix. We also vMix to include virtual attendees and panelists via Zoom. The VR-120 AV Mixer and Switcher was used to display content from the ASUS Zenbook Pro laptops. This content was then shown on three of our 85’’ LCD Televisions which were placed around the room on rolling stands.

For lighting we used the Aputure LS 300X along with four Quasar Science T8 tube lights which were placed at the back of the stage. We also provided pipe and drape onstage as well as at the back of the room to hide the control center.

09.13.24 JMSA at the Metropolitan Club

This month the team were in the Metropolitan Club again as we hosted a stream for the Japanese Medical Society of America for their annual members dinner. We provided audio, video and lighting services for the event.

For audio we used the Yamaha QL1 mixing board along with the L’Acoustics dV amp. Eight L’Acoustic X8 Speakers were placed around the room. For mics, we used a Shure MX418C mounted to the podium and then a Shure ULXD4Q-G50 was placed beside the Piano for the Jazz Pianist who performed over dinner.

Two Birddog P4K PTZ Cameras were placed at the back of the room. We then had one discreetly positioned behind the piano. This allowed us to capture close up, dynamic shots of the pianist in action. These cameras were controlled by a Skaarhoj controller and then fed back to the production rack, the LSE-1, which is made up of the vMix Pro Server, a Blackmagic Design 12x12 Cleanswitch, Netgear M4250 switch for high-bandwidth connectivity and a fully manager Ubiquiti networking setup. An Atomos SUMO 19SE Monitor was set up as well for external recording.

The Roland VR-120HD AV Mixer was used to display the client's content, from two of our ASUS Zenbook Duo Pros. This content was sent from the VR-120 to four of our 85’’ LCD Televisions which were set up on Rolling stands around the room.

For lighting we used an Aputure LS 300x to provide a spotlight on the pianist onstage. Wireless LED Uplights were also placed around the room and four Quasar Science Q30 T8 tube lights were placed behind the stage as well. We also provided pipe and drape behind the stage.

09.10.24 & 09.10.24 - VOICES Symposium at the New York Marriott

The Moore PA Hire team went to the downtown New York Marriott for the VOICES NYC 2024 Symposium where we provided audio, video, and lighting equipment and services.  Let's get started!

For audio, we began with (1) Yamaha QL5 mixing board and (1) L'Acoustics dV Amp.  For speakers, we used (6) L'Acoustic X8 and (2) L'Acoustic 108P.  For microphones, we used (2) ULXD4 providing us with 8 channels of digital audio, (8) Shure MX418C, and (6) ULXD2 handheld mics.

For in-room content, we build a custom VMX p2.6 LED wall to fit the dimensions of the room.  This screen was comprised of 76 usable panels as well as (1) row of 17 blank panels to give some height to the screen and not be blocked by the stage.  This LED wall was powered by (1) MX40 Pro processor and fed by our production rack, the LSE-2.  We used Resolume Arena 7 and (1) Yamaha VR120 to display the content.  For all additional content, we used (3) ASUS Zenbook Duo Pros.  Additionally, we displayed remote panelists via Zoom on to the wall for our in-room audience to see.  Lastly, we used (2) ikan confidence monitors on stage for presenters.

For video, recording, and livestream we used our other production racks the LSE-1.  The rack consists of (1) vMix Pro server, (1) Blackmagic Design 12x12 Cleanswitch, (1) Netgear M4250 switch for high-bandwith connectivity, and a fully managed Ubiquti networking setup.  Tied into this were (3) Birddog P4K ptz cameras discreetly spread around the space to capture the presenters at the podium as well as audience members.  These cameras were also used for the YouTube livestream broadcast and for any remote panelists to be apart of the symposium.  The zoom was integrated into the livestream so the online audience could also view the remote speakers.

For lighting, we provided (2) Aputure LS 300x for stage wash and (24) wireless LED lights around the room.  Lastly, we provided all the necessary pipe and drape behind the LED wall.
