10.01.2019 - Wines from Spain at Mercado, Little Spain - Hudson Yards

On October 1st Moore PA Hire provided all video and audio equiment and services for yet another Wines from Spain event. This years' event, entitled Spain's Great Match, was held at Little Spain in  Hudson Yards. Join us as we walk through how we achieved it.

We had two set-ups for the full day. In the main room, audio-wise, we began with (1) Mackie DL-1608. For microphones we provided (3) Shure UR-2 w/ Shure UR4D receivers, and (4) Shure MX418 podium mics. For speakers we provided (4) L'Acoustics 112P scattered around the main hall. For video, we set-up (2) 80" Sharp Aquos display and (1) 70" LG 4K HDR display. To drive the system we broke open (1) Production Bot Switch 8, loaded up with all the client's content. With that all raring to go we could jump over to our second set-up in the Lena space.

In there we set-up (1) Mackie DL1608. For microphones we provided (3) UR-2 w/ Shure UR4D receivers  and for speakers we provided (4) L'Acoustics 108Ps. For video we provided (1) 70" LG 4K HDR display and to server the client provided content we laid out (1) Macbook Pro 15".

We armed the presenters each with (1) Perfect Cue Mini and we were off to the races!

09.28.2019 - Booklyn Botanic Gardens - Chile Peppers Festival

On September 29th, Moore PA Hire provided staging, audio, and lighting equipment and services for the Chile Peppers Festival at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. Let's jump in!

For audio, we provided our Yamaha QL-5 for monitors & a Yamaha CL-5 for FOH, interfaced to a Yamaha Rio 3216  via (1) Yamaha L2 Switch. For speakers, we built our system out of all L'Acoustics consisting of (12) Dv Dosc, (2) Dv Sub, & (2) SB218 hung in two arrays on Genie Supertowers. We also provided (4) L'Acoustics 108P along the lip of the stage for front fill, and we hung (2) L'Acoustics 108P for a delay tower. We joined the whole product with (4) L'Acoustics LA-8 and we were ready to move onto monitors. For monitors we provided (14) L'Acoustics 112P and (2) L'Acoustics SB15P.  We provided all mics and D.I.s necessary (varying from Shure SM58s to AKG C391s) and finally provided (2) Shure UR-2 handhelds paired with (1) Shure UR4-D. To round out the load-in we set-up (1) Shure PSM 1000 IEM for in-ear monitors and we were ready to bounce over to lighting.

We started with (8) ETC Lustr Series 2, all with EDLT lenses for lighting coverage upstage, mid & downstage. To round out the lighting we mounted (4) Lustrs from the top of our FOH audio support.

For staging, we provided all decks and adjustable support for uneven terrain for the 28' by 24' stage, with two sets of stairs and all required safety rails.

09.18.19 - Dun & Broadstreet @ Refinery Rooftop

On September 18th, Moore PA Hire Inc. arrived at 36th and 6th to provide audio, video, and lighting equipment and services for the Dun & Broadstreet event at Refinery Rooftop. Let's dive in!

For audio, we set ourselves behind the bar with (1) Mackie DL1608 and (2) Shure UR4D paired with (2) Countryman E6D head-worn mics. We also provided (1) Shure MX418 podium microphone and used the venue's sound system for speakers.

Video-wise, we provided (1) Sharp 80" Aquos display, on a Premier Mount rolling stand, along with all power and data cables necessary.

For lighting, we rigged up (2) ETC Source 4WRDs, one with a 19 degree EDLT lens and with a 26 degree EDLT lens. Both were set-up with size B Gobo holders to provide branding around the room.

We rolled in our Cherry Wood Pedestal podium and we were ready to open doors.

09.18.2019 - The Green Room 42 - Yotel

On September 18th & 19th Moore P.A. Hire, Inc. provided a single projector & switcher tied into the existing house Video system for The Luxurious Green Room 42 event space within Yotel.

For video, we provided our Roland VR50 HD  to control both our Optoma ZU850 8K laser projectors with Optoma A01 lens projecting onto one of our Stumpfl 16:9 screens and also the two existing house screens.

08.21.2019 - HBO Latino @ 99 Scott

On August 21st Moore PA Hire loaded into 99 Scott in Bushwick to provide audio, lighting, staging, and video equipment and services for the HBO Latina Marquesina event. Let's jump in.

We had two areas of operation: a garden/courtyard outside with its own DJ and dancefloor set-up and the mainstage area in the heart of 99 Scott.

Let's start with the courtyard. For audio, we rigged up a classic DJ set-up across the garden from the venue. The rig included (1) DJM 900 Nexus and (2) CDJ 2000 Nexus. Speaker-wise we set-up (4) L'Acoustics 112P, all on Ultimate Support Stands, and (2) L'Acoustics SB15P. The set-up was on (2) 6'x4' staging sections with 12" legs and black skirting around the outside for a clean finish.
With that done we moved onto lighting the courtyard. Our package included (48) Colorblast TRX spread across (4) PDS750 TRX and (1) PDS375 TRX. These were all set-up on (2) 12"x"12"x10' Truss sections and (2) Mobiltech ALP-5 crank-up stands. All lighting was controlled remotely from our primary control postion in the main room of 99 Scott. Let's head there now.

In the main room, we started with (6) 8'x6' staging section on 24" legs. Skirted around the outside for a clean finish. With that done we moved on to audio.
For audio, the system started with (1) Yamaha QL-5 and (1) Yamaha Rio 1608D. Speaker-wise, we hung from two points in the ceiling using beam clamps and chain hoists. Across these two points we included (6) L'Acoustics Dosc, (2) L'Acoustics DvSubs, and (2) L'Acoustics Dv Bump2s. We also provided (2) L'Acoustics SB218. For monitors we provided (4) L'Acoustics 112P. Finally we provided (6) Clearcom 603 for hardline communication throughout the show.
With that taking shape we moved onto power. We provided (1) Motion Labs ETL 400amp distro, along with (4) 50amp GFCI Spider Boxes,and enough cabling to sink a small battleship. We laid down (1) 3' ADA compliant cable ramp for safe entrance and exit to the space and were ready to set-up our main stage lighting.
Our control began with GrandMA2 on PC, along with (1) MA Command Wing and (1) MA Fader Wing. We provided (8) Chauvet Rogue R2, (4) GLP X4S, (10) ETC S4WRD, and (10) ETC Lustr Series 2. We brought in all rigging we needed to hang everything from the ceiling along with (1) Genie AWP-30AC personnel lift and (1) Honda 3Kw Generator.

08.16.2019 - FDNY Line of Duty Funeral in Monroe, New York

On August 16th Moore PA Hire provided audio, rigging, and power distribution equipment and services for the Fire Department of New York as they laid to rest a service member killed in the line of duty.

For audio, we started with (1) Yamaha QL-1 and (1) Mackie DL1608. We provided (4) Whirlwind SP1X2 Mic Splitters and then started on the speaker towers. We provided all L'Acoustics (12) dV DOSC, (2) dV Bump2, (3) L'Acoustics LA-8, as well as (8) 112Ps and (4) 108Ps.
To fly the above we provided (2) Genie ST-20, (2) Mobiltech ALP-5, (2) Applied Electronics L-16, and (4) Ultimate Support Tripods. We finished our set-up with all necessary cabling along with (2) Honda 3KW Generators.
