For audio, we started with (1) Yamaha QL-5, (1) Yamaha QL-1, and (2) Yamaha Rio 1608D. For capturing the various speakers we set up 4 channels of Shure UR4D receivers paired with Shure UR-2 handheld microphones, as well as (6) Shure MX418C for the guest speakers. Interfacing with the church's s provided us with full access to all audio sources. We supported the church's audio system by deploying (4) L'Acoustics 108p and (4) L'Acoustics 112p. Our networked Yamaha QL consoles and Yamaha RIO digital stage box system via our Yamaha SWP1-16MMF network switch provided access to all inputs and outputs and enabled us to mix for the broadcast and the church independently.
For video and broadcast, we built one of our most extensive mobile rigs yet. We started with our premier broadcast and recording rack, the LSE1. The LSE1 is engineered around (1) Blackmagic Design Atem 2 M/E, comprising of (2) Blackmagic Design Hyperdeck Studio Pro 4K, (2) Black Magic Design Smartscope Duo 4K, and (1) 15amp UPS serving as a battery backup for all of the control village, the cameras, and the broadcast. With the LSE1 in place we added on (1) Production Bot Switch 8, (1) Blackmagic Design Atem Advanced Panel, and (1) Ikan Production monitor. With that our director's position was read to stream. For our camera network we rolled out (3) Panasonic HE-130 PTZ cameras and (2) Panasonic PX-270 cameras. Back at control, we "manned" the HE-130s with (1) Panasonic RP50 and (1) Panasonic RP120, each paired with their own field/studio monitor for the camera operators. To reach the HE-130s and bring their video back to control we used (2) 500' Camplex TAC 1 dual channel fiber optic reels. For screens to display the various camera feeds and client provided content we broke out (2) Optoma ZU850 8K laser projectors with Optoma A01 lenses and (2) 80" Sharp Aquos TVs.
For lighting we brought in (4) ETC Lustr series 2 , all with EDLT lenses and Impact Turtle Base C-stands. For our speakers we provided (1) D'San Perfect Cue Mini and (1) D'San Limitimer Pro-2000, as well as (1) Samsung 50" TV to serve as a confidence monitor.
With all of that in place, we had the bespoke wifi and simultaneous interpretation system ahead of us. Check out the post below this one to see how we built that.
