5/22/16 RedBull Music Acadamy: Last Night the DJ Saved My Soul

May 22, 2016  Moore PA Hire provided lighting and sound for RedBull Music Academy's closing event "Last Night A DJ Saved My Soul"  This event  brings together artists saving souls on and off the dance floor.  Present was the legendary group Joubert Singers and New Jersey’s own “King of Gospel House” Kenny Bobien ,Terrence Parker and Robert Hood (aka Floorplan), himself a minister, as well as DJ Pierre of acid house pioneers Phuture, Ann Nesby,Merachka, Budgie and Slow To Speak’s Paul Nickerson, This unique event was held in the old St. Luke's Evangelican Church of Clinton Hill.  

We used our Yamaha QL-5 Console w/ Yamaha RIO 1608D for control, our L'Acoustics 108, 112P, SB 15P systems for monitors and for F.O.H. we used our L'Acoustics Dv Dosc system powered by L'Acoustics LA-8 amplified controllers.

5/19/16 Dumbo 10th Anniversary under Dumbo Archway

5/19/16 was Dumbo's 10th Anniversary and Community meeting under the Dumbo Archway.  Moore Pa Hire provided color changing effects with the Philips ColorBlast TRX and pipe and drape to showcase the significant changes that have occurred in this previously industrialized neglected area.

5/16/16 RedBull Music Academy: Glenn Branca's Symphony

May 16, 2016 RedBull Music Academy had Moore P.A. Hire provide Sound, Lighting and Staging for Glenn Branca's Symphony.  Along with Glenn Branca their was a  featured an all-star cast of contributing guitarists. "Glenn Branca’s electric-guitar symphonies have, for 35 years, dealt out enormous massed gestures of sound."  To facilitate this trailblazing No Wave Icon we used our Yamaha QL-5 Console w/ Yamaha RIO 1608D and Ramtech 52 pr snake for control, our L'Acoustics 108, 112P, SB 15P systems for monitors and for F.O.H. we used our L'Acoustics Dv Dosc system powered by L'Acoustics LA-8 amplified controllers. FOH speakers were flown on our Genie ST-20 Super towers.

5/12/16 Futures in Education: The Annual Angels on the Fairway Golf Outing

May 12, 2016 Moore PA Hire provided sound and video support to the 

The Annual Angels on the Fairway Golf Outing at The Creek, the majestic country club and championship golf course overlooking the Long Island Sound in Locust Valley, NY.  This silent auction and this historic fundraiser raised nearly $5 million for disadvantaged students.    We brought in our L-Acoustics 108P and 112P speaker system, wireless microphones, all controlled by our Yamaha QL-1 digital audio console.  
For video, we use a combination of our  Sanyo PLC-WM5500  LCD digital projectors and Macbook pro all controlled by our Roland VR-50 HD AV switcher.

5/7/2016 - MOMS DEMAND GUN CONTROL Rally & March Brooklyn Bridge

On May 7, 2016, the Moore PA Hire team was asked to provide a stage, rigging for signage and two sound system for a MOMS DEMAND GUN CONTROL  Rally. This event spanned both sides of the Brooklyn Bridge starting in Cadman Plaza and ending with a rally at City Hall Park. Our client is affiliated with Everytown a movement of Americans working together to end gun violence and build safer communities

We flew box truss up stage using our crank up stands to support their all important signage.  For sound, we use a combination of our L'Acoustics 108P & 112P self powered speaker systems controlled by our Yamaha QL1 digital sound mixing consoles.  

5/6/16 U by Kotex The Period Shop

The Period Shop was inspired by a Tumblr post from a young woman, Sarah M., who we partnered with to make her vision a reality on 5th Avenue in NYC. Part celebration, part proclamation, The Period Shop is proof that, together, we can change how we think about, talk about, and shop for periods. And we’re only getting started. All proceeds benefit Susan’s Place, a NYC-based transitional residence for homeless women.

We supplied the sound, lighting and video. For audio distribution we used our Yamaha QL-1, Shure UR4D, L'Acoustics LA-8 to power (8) L'Acoustics 8 XT speakers mounted on truss. We provided a DJ rig consisting of a Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus, (2) Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus and (2) Technics 1200 Mk II TurntablesFor Lighting we used our ETC Source 4WRD and City Theatrical Show baby for wireless lighting control.

5/2/16 RedBull Music Academy: A Conversation with Spike Lee

May 2, 2016 Moore PA Hire provided staging for A Conversation with Spike Lee sponsored by RedBull Music Academy. Discussion panel involved how music has inspired him and played a role in many of his films. Our role was to provide staging, pipe and drape and support for the clients' custom backdrop.
